MDI Medical’s Healthcare Technology division has been at the forefront of the implementation of Health Tech/IT solutions within Ireland over the last 20 years and have delivered complex national IT projects in hospitals throughout Ireland.
Due to successful projects and growth in the division we wish to strengthen our technical support team by recruiting a Junior Technical Support Engineer with focus on Teleradiology and Image Reporting Solutions.

Job Summary |
The Junior Technical Support Engineer when fully trained will primarily support the Senior Engineering team with focus on Teleradiology. When trained they should have the ability and experience to handle the day-to-day technical support calls, installation and work tasks related to the management and support of MDI Medical’s Healthcare Technology portfolio with focus on Teleradiology and Image Reporting solutions. This position is a field-based support role with tasks on telephone, remote & onsite support to our customers and support to team members. The role will be supported by our Senior Technical Support Engineer – Teleradiology.
We are looking for a motivated new starter who wants to gain experience and move into the healthcare environment. They should be willing to learn and take direction/support from the Senior team and have an ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task in a quick and dynamic industry. The candidate will be required to have confident communication skills and the capacity to explain technical issues to non-technical or clinical customers.

Job Responsibilities |
Role Includes: (But are not limited to the following)
· Technical support to the Senior Technical Support Engineer – Teleradiology.
· Support the team in the role of technical support engineer of the company’s multi-vendor Teleradiology solutions which can include hardware and software.
· Diagnose and resolve Health Tech customer products – workshop repair, remote support and onsite support.
· Provide technical support to range of customers including IT, and clinical staff including Radiologists.
· Perform scheduled PM, calibration and ongoing maintenance to existing customer sites.
· Respond to customer queries and reported issues and continually support and try to improve customer satisfaction.
· Assist with maintaining’/updating the Health Tech equipment to latest updates and to a high standard.
· Manage spare parts & tools.
· Install and optimize hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
· Document all support calls and jobs in a timely manner via dedicated service software platform.
· Adhere fully to the quality standards required by our ISO certification. |
Qualifications/Core Competencies

· Recent graduate with engineering or IT qualification desirable and/or industry related certification.
· Full clean driver’s licence.
· Good level of IT & computer knowledge.
· Experience with Microsoft Applications.
· Ability to be a self-starter and work with the Senior Technical Support Engineer.

· You must be willing to travel and work in customers’ homes when required
